A DOLLY/DRAKE/TAY BATTLE FOR #1

There’s going to be a lot on this week’s chart to be thankful for; at least three titles are in the running for #1, each finishing over 100k.

Drake’s For All the Dogs: Scary Hours Edition is projected to do 110-130k. In its fourth week of release, 1989 (Taylor’s Version) looks like it will come in slightly lower, 110-120k, creating a possible Thanksgiving skirmish for #1.

Dolly Parton’s Rockstar could be a spoiler, however—the beloved entertainer's highly publicized, star-studded rock album is headed for a solid 95-105k opening, with a potential boost from those bastions of hard-rocking culture Home Shopping Network and Cracker Barrel. In promoting the release, the Tennessee native attended the Georgia Tennessee football game, joining "101,000 of my friends in the best place for college football." She partnered with the Volunteers football team to release limited edition merch and a special edition of the album that includes a live version of "Rocky Top," an official state song of the state.

K-pop group ENHYPEN is projecting 80-90k for a Top 5 debut.

How will the holiday affect the chart? Will the industry go into a collective tryptophan coma before the results are in? Will our pumpkintinis catch on, or will they just produce the worst hangovers of the fall? Stay tuned.
