FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

The Top 10 on iTunes songs chart has three new arrivals with Shawn Mendes’ single “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” from the deluxe edition of Illuminate (Island) shooting straight to #1. On the album side, seven new titles hit the Top 10 on flipover Friday.

Following the Mendes track, the remix of Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito” f/Justin Bieber (RBMG/Def Jam), released Monday, is #3 at iTunes and #18 on Apple Music, while Lana Del Rey f/The Weeknd’s “Lust For Life” (Interscope), released Wednesday, is #5.

On the album side, the fourth album from songwriter-producer Blackbear, digital druglord (Beartrap), opens at #2 and is also the highest charting newcomer at Apple Music, currently #27. Incubus8—their first for Island—drives in at #3.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix, Vol. 2 (Marvel/Disney), featuring ‘70s tracks from the likes of ELO, George Harrison and the Jon Batdorf-Brent Mydland-Tom Leadon band Silver, press play at #4.

Love and War (Arista Nashville), Brad Paisley’s 11th album packed with interesting guests—Mick Jagger, John Fogerty, Timbaland—has the #5 berth followed by Taylor Ray Holbrook’s self-released Backroads.

Kim Walker-Smith’s On My Side (Jesus Culture/Sparrow) is #8 and Sheryl Crow’s return to the pop side, Be Myself (Warner Bros.), is #9.
