Big Star with Ivana and Bud

BIG STAR AND LITTLE STARS: The late, great Alex Chilton and Big Star pose with a bunch of posers, including our own Ivana B. Adored and Zoo A&R exec-turned-best-damn-copywriter-in-the-business Bud "Scud Boppa" Scoppa, not to mention then-Wherehouse buyer Bob Bell, after the band's 1993 performance at the University of Missouri, recorded for the interestingly titled Columbia: Live at Missouri University album. Inexplicably cropped out of the photo is Jim Rondinelli, who pitched the idea of documenting the performance to Bud, then recorded and mixed it for the album. (3/23p)
