John Cossette dies

JOHN COSSETTE, who succeeded his late father Pierre Cossette as producer of the Grammy Awards four years ago, has passed away. The Cossette family—wife Rita, and daughters Maria and Rose—released the following stratement yesterday through the Recording Academy: "We are deeply saddened to report that John Cossette, 54, has passed away. We ask that you please respect our privacy during this incredibly emotional time. We appreciate everyone's love and support, and further details regarding funeral arrangements will be forthcoming in the next few days." (4/27a)
