Pittman

ICYMI: Clear Channel chieftain Bob Pittman, in Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show (at which CC announced new in-car deals, as noted in yesterday's story), sat down for a quick chat with CNBC. "We want to be everywhere," Pittman noted, discussing the radio behemoth's in-car presence and its highly touted deals with labels. "We're their most strategic relationship," he said of the music biz. "Yet we didn't have a regularized relationship, it was very ad hoc. What industry would do that? So this was really about saying, what are all the things we do together? What are all the things we need each other for? Let's do a long-term contract, let's lay it all out and let's do a contractual relationship."(1/10p)
