THE PERILS OF IVANA: Here’s how Karen Glauber starts her day: “Most mornings (my internal alarm clock is set for 4:30am), I wake up in a blind panic,” she confesses in her latest column/self-therapy session. “What have I forgotten? What adds can I get today? Who needs tickets to Arcade Fire/Spoon/KONGOS, etc.? Who have I disappointed? What am I missing? Where did the summer go? Why am I thinking about Xmas shows in July?” It’s not easy being Queen. But she can take solace in the fact that They Want My Soul, the latest album from her beloved Spoon, hits next Tuesday, which happens to be her birthday.
