MIDLAND GOES LIVE ON VINYL
8/25/20

Big Machine’s Midland brought North Hollywood’s iconic, but long-defunct, honky-tonk Palomino Club back to life last year with a performance following the release of their critically acclaimed album, Let it Roll. Now, the double Grammy-nominated band is bringing the live show to vinyl.

As part of the first RSD Drop dates, a re-working of Record Store Day, the Midland LIVE at the Palomino LP will be available on 8/29 at select stores. Record Store Day will also premiere the Midland LIVE at the Palomino concert special on 8/28 at 8pm ET on their Facebook.

“We are thrilled to be the first to premiere Midland’s concert special for their fans the night before Record Store Day,” said Record Store Day co-founder Carrie Colliton. “I'm so glad this special night was captured on camera, and now on vinyl, and that we're able to highlight it at indie record stores.”

The limited-edition vinyl features 17 live tracks, including the band’s current Country radio hit “Cheatin’ Songs,” and has an original cover illustration of the Palomino Club.

“You think about who’s been on that Palomino stage,” said Midland bassist/vocalist Cam Duddy, “You can’t help but feel connected to so much greatness. We draw on the past for what we do. So to be able to go out there to return the Palomino to what it was meant to be – even for one night – was something we will cherish forever.”
