AWAL'S HUNT NABS A&R VP STRIPES

AWAL has promoted Will Hunt from senior director to VP of A&R, in which capacity he will continue to report to AWAL MD Matt Riley in the company's London office.

Hunt will be charged with further developing AWAL’s growing roster, which boasts Clara La San, Nieve Ella, Mikayla Geier, Sarah Julia and Brandon Nembhard.

Since joining the company from Columbia Records in 2018, he's been involved in key signings including Norwegian indie-pop act girl in red and Dayglow, whose feel-good 2022 single “Can I Call You Tonight” went platinum. Hunt also shepherded soul singer Joesef and Irish country/alt-pop artist CMAT, who this year has been nominated for a Brit Award and an Ivor Novello Award.

As if he isn’t busy enough, Hunt heads up AWAL’s relationship with Rules the World Records on releases by dexter in the newsagent and Kwollem.
